Our Story
Hello, and thank you for visiting our webpage.
I am Jim Wescott, and in 2002 with the help from a lifelong friend Joe Butler and the support of my partner in life, Kay Wescott, I created Carolina Senior Care, Inc.
After spending 15 years selling steel, I began a new adventure in the senior living industry working for a friend whose company sold wandering resident protection systems, whirlpool bathing systems, and started representing a new wireless emergency response system called: Protect ERS.
The transition went well, and I became addicted to the senior living industry and the people associated with taking care of one of our most valuable assets: Seniors! After a few short years of success in the market and the drive to go out on my own, (not to mention the endless support and direction from my wife, Kay), I decided to make the move and start my own company: Carolina Senior Care, Inc.
The plan was to sell, service, and install wireless e-call systems and whirlpool bathing systems in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. Through hard work, the company took off and in a short time our customer base expanded throughout the Southeast and into the Midwest. We have customers in 16 states.
This bio would be incomplete if I didn’t include another decision that has made us second to none. Everyone knows I love to talk about our company and the systems we sell, install , and service. However, I knew my weakness was the technical aspect of the product: “What makes it perform the way they do?” Thus, shortly after the introduction of Carolina Senior Care, a former associate who is a technical guru made the decision to venture out on his own as well: Mark Morvay. We joined forces to establish Carolina Senior Care’s presence in the industry. His work and life ethic, on top of his compassion and perfection, is priceless.
Carolina Senior Care, Inc. has become a true family business. We have been blessed to grow our business every year. In 2017, my wife Kay Wescott joined the company as our Director of Education. Bringing her medical background as a registered nurse to the company; she has provided us the leadership needed and instance creditability. My son, Andrew, has become an essential member of the team by performing multiple tasks while learning the business. After years of establishing her career in recruiting, sales, marketing and management; my daughter, Kristin, finally joined the team in late 2021! I am thrilled to bring the full “family dynamic” to our growing business!
I am pleased to announce Carolina Senior Care will be celebrating its 20 Anniversary this year! I want to thank all of my friends, family, and business partners for helping make Carolina Senior Care, Inc what it is today. I look forward to celebrating the future with you!
THANK YOU!
